Langkawi 2007

Finally, we've completed our first semester unscathed (except Marketing). We celebrated by going for bowling, shopping, hours of non-stop FIFA, Futsal, and Fish's birthday. Futsal was free of charge at Subang Lake, but we got whacked by a group of foreigners although we outnumbered them 5 to 3.

And for the climax of our celebrations, after weeks of tedious planning, preparations, withdrawals and postponements, we finally made it to Langkawi!

I only have limited amount of photos, so this will do for the time being.

We arrived at Hentian Duta at 10pm, before boarding our executive double-decker Transnasional coach at 11pm. Unfortunately, no one brought their laptops, as planned, which is why the photos are so hard to distribute.

The ride was smooth, and we had a 30 minute stop somewhere in Perak. We arrived at Kuala Perlis at around 6am, and as soon as we alighted the bus, an agent approached us. We were reluctant to trust him, as any problems would have to be rectified on the mainland, but after our long negotiations, we decided to use him, as he could guarantee refunds on the island, plus, it was more convenient. We booked 3 Wiras instead of the Innova we planned, cuz it was way cheaper.

Our ferry was at 8, so we had breakfast at a mamak nearby while waiting

Somehow, we were lucky enough to get a huge ferry, with an exterior different from the others

I just realised Yixuan's holding her heart.

Photo of the Year
Truly, a photo does speak a thousand words

I'm starting to think we're taking more photos off Langkawi
than on it

The girls

At the hotel lobby

Say "Whisky!"

We went on the cable car ride, and to be honest, I admit I'm afraid of heights

But so is KG

They tried to persuade me to overcome my fears at 650m above sea level

Sunset at the beach

They tried to buried me, but they couldn't hide the obvious. Heehee

The beach was magnificent

We drank a lot of alcohol on the beach that night, and perhaps in hindsight, it wasn't the wisest thing for me to do, but I got drunk, and henceforth came the phrase

"I'm drunk but I'm not stupid"

I couldn't really remember much, but I ended up sleeping at the lobby, and waking up with a terrible hangover. What's worse, I discovered I'm allergic to large amounts of alcohol. My whole body was covered with red rashes, and my feet and palms were....FAT!

We went for the Island hopping tour the next day, which I think was the highlight of our trip. We had a whole boat chartered for the 14 of us. Our first stop was at the Pulau Dayang Bunting, where we canoed at the lake.

In the pond are catfishes which "cleans" our feet

On the Banana boat.

Despite the allergy, I was able to enjoy myself during the Island hopping tour, but it was apparent that I needed a break

At the waterfalls. Me clearly showing signs of fatigue

By the time we got back to the hotel at 5, the effects of the allergy combined with the exhausting activity clearly took its toll. I slept for 12 hours, and missed the evening's activity at the pool, dinner and the next drinking session. I came down with high fever, and many thanks to Aaron and Yixuan who took care of me that night.

On the ferry

The ride home was terrible to say the least. The fucking bus broke down near Taiping. And so we were stranded for 3 hours plus on the North-South highway.
We still had time for blackjack

Not everyone got down from the bus though, and some asshole idiot stole my DJ Lemon Mix while we were waiting outside the bus! To that fucker, I'll make sure your life will never be in peace. Hahahahaha. But I still feel bad, and I know Jolene had been looking forward to it so much.

In conclusion, the trip was extremely fun, and I had many firsts on that island.

The first time I got drunk

The first time I sat on a banana boat

The first time I smoked

&

The first time I was FAT!!

Happy Holidays~

Moving on, it's my time
You never were a friend of mine
Hurt at first, a little bit
But now I'm so over
I'm so over it
Katherine McPhee

I've been foolish, I should've closed this chapter of my life a long time ago instead of re-opening it again. Anyway, it's really time to look forward.

Anyway, Howdy Americans! Nuffnang reported that I had 6 visitors from the US of A, yesterday.
I wonder what do they find interesting in my blog though. Hehe.

I've Accounts paper in less than 12 more hours, and Accounts is the subject I really dread the most. Yeah, I've have had some success in the other subjects, except Accounts.

But the thing with success is, it always comes with these 2; expectations, and jealousy.

Am I a victim of my own success?

Are there people out there who actually think "Yeah, he already did well in everything else, no harm if he struggle in Accounts right?"

Let's hope not, shall we?

Fucking Hell

If there is time where I would like to say Fuck You to God, there can be no better day than this.

Why, on a day where I decided to trust my instincts that the Federal Highway would be smooth, just to save toll money, did You decide to put an accident there?

Why, on a day I need to be at my calmest to extract all the information out of my brain for Marketing, did you have to give me massive diarrhea at the perfect moment and screw up my paper?

Why?

Oh well, although He can be a pain in the ass, God is still God. Just like parents. Hehe

At the moment whenI felt I was at my lowest, when I felt my efforts studying Marketing were all washed down the drain, when I felt no day could get worse than this, when I had no motivation whatsoever to study Management, when my thoughts drifted towards her, wishing for her to be there for me, You sent her.

Thank you

Morality

A research recently stated that Moral Studies is ranked no. 1 dumbest subject in the universe. Hahahaha. Finally, since first studying this worthless subject about.. 13 years ago, I'm finally done with it.

The test was even stupider, believe me. But so happen, to brighten up our day, there was this girl who came late, and wore almost nothing below her bf's shirt.

Sexy

Marketing in 12 hours!!

Puchong Jaya

It's the sisters' birthday! Yixuan (9th) and Yi Qian (10th). They were actually twins but Yi Qian decided to be born a day later. Hahahahaha. Kidding. Btw, I just found out that, Puchong is a really really huge place! Hahaha. Puchong Jaya itself is already damn huge, so it wasn't a surprise I got lost trying to find Yixuan's cousin's place.

Went to pick up SK and Fish at Secret Recipe together with a 2kg Chocolate Indulgence and then headed to Klang to surprise Yi Qian. The directions Kelvin gave us weren't really useful, and SK couldn't let Yi Qian know we were coming along, so I had to pretend to be the taxi driver asking for directions. Alice joined us in the end, and brought along a nice strawberry cake as well.

"We wish we will get laid by a super hot guy in Langkawi"
Hehehehe

After the dinner, we were left with some leftover cake, and being such wonderful friends, we decided to pay Aaron (who couldn't make it cuz he was "tired") a visit and give him some cake.

Poor Aaron didn't know what hit him

MCB exam in 7 hours!

Curry Mee

Lemon plucking SK's goatee

I have no idea why my stomach aches everytime after I have McD for lunch. Haha. Probably because it has been such a long time since I ate fast food regularly.

To those who are still unaware, the hotel for the Langkawi trip has been booked and paid for, so to those who plan to pull out last minute, please think twice before doing so as you still will be required to pay the hotel fees. Please don't use parents as the reason. It's lame and permission should have been asked way earlier.

Anybody interested in renting a room in Subang? Available, with air-cond and fully furnished at RM500 a month. Hehe. Please leave a msg in my cbox if interested.

Langkasuka

Dear friends,

After much consideration, a conclusion has been made that to fully maximise our holiday plans, a package that is reasonable financially, and flexible has been chosen. The price of the room has been brought to a minimum, to fully allow us to spend the bulk of our budget on more important things such as bus, ferry, car rentals, island hopping, food, and alcohol. Thus, the chosen package is:

Choice C

Langkasuka Beach Resort (4 Stars)
3 Days 2 Nights

2 Queen Size Beds
3 rooms, each room accommodating 5 people
No breakfast provided
RM 183 per night per room
RM 183 x 2 = RM 366 per room for 2 nights
RM 366 / 5 ppl = RM 73.20 per person for 2 nights!

Please also allocate somewhere around RM 30 for car rental services and RM 45 for island hopping tours, RM 60 for food, RM 30 for ferry tickets (to and fro), RM 56 for bus fares (to and fro) and RM 50 for additional costs. All in all, please allocate RM 350 at maximum.

Please note that these prices are estimated after the overall costs is divided by 15. So any withdrawals will indefinately increase the cost per person.
