2007 : In Pictures

2007, a year filled with ups and downs, comings and goings tears and joy

In October, the person who nurtured me for the first 3 years of my life, fed me, taught me my first language, cultivating me the farm life with his chickens, ducks, turkeys, cats, dogs and birds, is no longer with me. My grandfather passed away.

Today, in December, my Uncle in Johore, passed away right after having difficulties in urinating. Which simply puts how unpredictable life is into greater perspective.

On August the 30th, on our 25th month together, the one person that has shaped my life in the past 2 years, the person that has made me who I am now, and the person who loved me for who I am, is no longer that person.

But the year 2007 is also the year where I'm lucky enough to have met a whole bunch of wonderful people

Jolene Ewe Ei Suan
An amazing person at first glance, and a truly wonderful friend,
who's always there when you need her

Aaron Loo
Intelligent, Handsome, Responsible, Rational. A good friend.
Almost the perfect person (too bad he's not really good in FIFA)

Sheena
Cheerful, bubbly and naive, she reminds me of Jessica Simpson

Kien Giap
FIFA Master, always on the lookout for hot girls,
an extremely nice person and arguably the smartest of the lot

Yoon
He's Korean, what more can I say?

Sunny
At 22, the oldest of us all, displayed his leadership qualities with true class

Kelvin and Seng Kheng the Brunei boy
2 people you have to have around, and 2 people whom I
really enjoyed having their company

Last but definately not least,

The 2 craziest girls on this planet

Elizabeth Lim Li Shea
Most naturally talented girl among us all, with results to prove.
Fun, Eccentric, Blur, Loves to laugh.
We'll miss you.

Tan Yixuan
I can write a thousand words about her but I'll keep it short.
Elegant and Graceful, true to her Convent roots,
Intelligent, Determined, Stubborn, and Decent
May seem cold at times, but has a million dollar smile
Would look stunning if she can shed a few grams in 2008. Hehe

That's all folks! See you in 2008!

Somebody please kill me

I came back half dead today, having worked overtime, and helped Sheena to look for a job after that, and I saw this Perodua advertisement on TV which is trying to convey a message of doing more for others instead of oneself in the new year of 2008.

How true, but how ironic it can be as well.

I figured, that in the year 2007, I have done a lot more for others than I have done so for myself.

I do not expect everyone to agree with my plans, or to be forced to commit to anything. But have the courtesy to be responsible, rational and think that any complacent decision will have ripple-like implications to everyone.

All I plead is for co-operation.

Please. Is that just too hard to ask for?

Beat

My phone's being a bitch. So I can't upload any photos here.

Yixuan and Elizabeth came to visit on Boxing day. They looked prettier than ever after a month. Hehe.

China

A booming country, one with enormous potential to be a world superpower

With its great wall and all...

With the Forbidden City...

With one the world's top cities, Shanghai

Somehow, I just don't like China. I know its where our ancestors came from but, I just have a bad feeling about that country. Even when we were in Hong Kong, my parents wanted to cross the border to go to Shenzen, I objected. (Which in the end turned out to be the right decision)

No offense to any readers from China, which I doubt there are any, but I just dislike that country. And their girls.
