Sorry for the late updates. Cable broke down and laptop's bluetooth cacated.
But, as of the 17th of February 2008, I'm officially an adult! It means I can do adult stuff like watching adult movies? Commit adultery? Hoho.
Anyway, since most of you guys are scattered all over the region, I'll be having a small gathering by the end of this month ya. As for now, a million thanks to those who wished me, with special mentions to Elizabeth, who was the first to wish me at midnight (midnight in Australia though, lol), to those who bothered to sms and call me at 4am in the morning, right after Man Utd thrashed Arsenal 4-0, to those who wished me although we lost contact for 4 years, and even to those who wished me belatedly.
And thanks to Sheena who got me this wonderful cake.

If you're going through hell, keep going
Churchill said that, not me.
Valentine's came and went.
The day didn't actually turned out like what I expected to be. Bad luck arrived like London buses today; you wait all your life for one, but once it arrives, it comes by the bucketloads.
I woke up feeling a bit cautious, yet still optimistic. Events of yesterday were still sinking in. Funny how it seems that all your frustrations and depressions at work seem to evaporate when you received your hard-earned pay. The timing of the pay was perfect too.
I had planned to buy a new phone for my mom, to replace her pitiful Samsung phone, and I found the perfect model to buy for her; Nokia 2630
So with my new found riches, I went to Pyramid early, picking up Jolene on the way, since she has 5 hours of absolutely nothing to do every Thursday. The phone's really slimmer than I thought, even slimmer than Sheena's 6300 (Which I wanted to get for her but way too expensive). It's a perfect gift 3 in 1 gift for my mom (Birthday, Valentines & Just-Got-My-Salary gift) with its basic functions, large buttons, VGA Camera, and easy to use menu.
Jco's was next and the queue at 12pm was surprisingly short. Although I've eaten lots of donuts from Jco, I haven't had the experience of actually buying them before. Haha.
Nevertheless, that's where the optimism ends.
The strange thing is that somehow, it's hard to really point the finger at anyone. So I guess it's just sheer bad luck. It just didn't cross my mind, that I should have texted her re-confirm the date which she had already agreed. In hindsight, some 12 hours later, I realised that I should. I really should have, at least in this situation. Aaron even had the guts to say that I've lost my touch. Wtf.
Dealing with the last-minute cancellation was one thing, canceling the special arrangement I made with TGI Fridays was another. Embarrassing would be an understatement, but the waitress was kind enough to offer her sympathy.
Back at the office (FCUK Counter), Sheena lived up to her "February Friend of the Month" status. See, I've mentioned it here. Hahaha. So, a big thank you for making me feel much better.
I live with my friend every Monday to Wednesday, to the chagrin of my parents. But the thing is, if home's a war zone every time I get back, what's there to look forward to? The surprise I intended to give my mom, went down the drain.
Sigh.. Well, at least she looks decently happy with the gift.
p/s. By virtue of being a fantastic colleague for the first half of January, letting me stay at your place 3 days a week and teman-ing me for supper, Low Kien Giap, you're the "January Friend of the Month" winner!! Hahaha.

Perfection
I was watching The OC for the first time ever last night at 3am. And I never knew Mischa Barton looked that good. But seriously, The OC is good to watch. I've been wondering what have I done all this while, missing great series like this, Heroes, Prison Break, etc. I've even stopped watching CSI after I started working at FCUK.
Speaking of work, things have changed for the better recently. One of my colleagues resigned, which gave the opportunity for Sheena to work with me AND me being promoted to Senior Brand Part-Timer. The term Part-Timer is just an understatement though, as I have the authority to be the cashier, co-schedule the daily schedule, and setting break times! Hehe.
To those who regularly drop by here, I apologize for the indifferent posts. Work is really boring, and I hardly have the time or energy to blog often. But I'll be back with a new design soon. Last but not least, although I won't be celebrating this year,

There's always tomorrow
At other times, I would certainly have flipped. Given up. Look for something else. Forget about it. But now it seems there's more willingness to be patient. I'm suffering but I'm willing to go through it. This is really pathetic. Haha

Patience is a virtue
I ask myself, everyday, why. Why? Why? Why?
Why do I slog my ass off everyday, 9 to 12 hours a day, working at a shitty place.
Simple. Money.
You work and work and work. Reach home at 12am, tired and hungry, stomach calling for dinner. But at the end of the day, it is really worth it? Is earning tons of cash really that important?
Sigh.

=)
Cause every time I see your bubbly face
I get the tinglies in a silly place
Don't be fooled by that smiley, my day was absolutely horrible.
From the moment I woke up till now. Sigh, I thought by finally going home, I'd feel at peace, but rupa-rupanya home's still the same. Home sweet home. Haha. Work at FCUK was more like FUCK. I wonder how long more can I take before I lose all my sanity.
But every cloud has a silver lining, hasn't it?
Luck played a huge part in it, but still, =)

God FCUK us all
You might think, I don't look,
But deep inside the corner of my mind,
I'm attached to you
I'm working in FCUK Parksons in Pyramid, not in Tangs.
Slept last night at Aaron's place (if 2 hours was considered sleep).
And now at KG's place.
'Ave never been as emo as I've been this past 2 nights in a long long time.
About the past. And the future.
And yes, I braved myself to listen to songs of the past for the first time in months.
I sang songs till it was 5 in the morning
The past will always cast a permanent shadow, but yet, the future is clouded.

Lets go for the jugular
So, after almost 2 weeks of inactivity, I'm back on the job scene. After working 5 different jobs in 7 different locations, my next appointment will be at TANGS Departmental Store in Sunway Pyramid. Now, most Malaysians will not have heard of TANGS before, unless they're frequent shoppers in Singapore. I've also mentioned that I'll never work as a sales promoter again, it's a job that I'm already done and dusted with, but with a pay of RM6.25 per hour, it's hard to resist.
The interview, however, was by far the most tedious one. I have no idea, how I manage to pass all my job interviews with flying colours, yet totally screw all my scholarships interviews. I think it has to do with my approach. With the job interviews, I usually don't mind if I fail (cuz I'm too lazy to work). So with my laid back and confident aura, I'd probably performed better compared to my scholarships interview where I might be more nervous and, desperate. For example, during this interview, my interviewer attempted to negotiate to bring down my pay to RM5 per hour, but I would not budge from the original RM6.25 per hour offer. Talk about arrogance. Hoho.
They also asked me to read a sample conversation on a piece of paper, consisting 3 paragraphs, to test my command of English. And then came the million dollar question :
"What is your understanding of fashion?"
Hellooo, I'm just applying for a sales promoter position, not a columnist in Vogue. But it was good experience though.
Went to Ikea with Jolene to look-see for new ideas for the refurbishment of my room, in case I decided to accept my parents' offer. And Nigel, Jolene's friend, came to join us for dinner. A really interesting and talented person at first glance, who's talents includes video editing, real estate, music, and is currently a graphic artist for Quiksilver.
